NaNoWriMo
I attempted NaNoWriMo this year. The result was interesting. Normally I like to plot book concepts fully before rashly moving on to writing. However, I have this habit of finding little plot holes and enlarging them to the point that I determine the book infeasible and scrap it.
Update: I'm editing my NaNoWriMo book! I didn't reach the 50k mark by the end of November. I started out with a completely different story that simply died a week into the task. I was inspired by another idea, however, and ran with it but only hit 32k.
If I had spent a few sleepless nights writing, I might have got to 50k but, as my husband puts it, this makes me a quitter, not a loser and that is somehow better.
I'm also a geek who likes to figure out how to make interesting things. I wear many hats and consider myself a renaissance woman but, above all, I love to create!
